The Girl Behind the Lens…

Welcome to my website! Let me start by introducing myself… I’m Heather. I’ve been a photographer for a little over ten years now. I began working as a second photographer at weddings when I was 17 years old and finally branched out to begin my own photography business 4 years ago.
But working my own business gave me a first hand view of the wedding industry and I didn’t like what I saw, particularly in respect to gay couples trying to get married. So I rolled up my sleeves, laboured, and created the first photography company specializing in LGBT wedding and engagement photography.
Because… we all deserve respect when walking down the aisle.
Me? I came out later in life after marriage and kids happened. So I have two of the greatest kids a girl could ask for. I’m mad about anything chocolate and peanut butter, hate long lines at the bank and would love nothing more than to help make your wedding day incredible!
So if you’re newly engaged and in search of a fun loving, easy going wedding photographer, I’m sure you’ll love viewing my engagement and wedding portfolio. If you like what you see and want to find out more, please drop me a line and I would be happy to answer any questions you have.

I hope to meet you soon!

2Bride Photography was founded in October 2012 as the first exclusively queer photography company.
At 2Bride we understand that your wedding day is the most important day of your lives together. We strive to help you capture your day in a fun, energetic and accepting environment that leaves you with photographs that truly reflect who you are as a couple.
Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transsexual, Queer… 2Bride Photography was created for you!

Weddings are spontaneous, chaotic days that can simultaneously take our breath away and bring tears to our eyes. And so at 2Bride we believe in a mix of styles, one part Photojournalism and one part Fine Art Photography.
Photojournalism to capture the tears and laughter at the ceremony; to record those candid conversations and the dance moves that no one expected Grandma to pull at the reception.
And Fine Art Photography to relive those passionate kisses, loving looks, silly personality: the intimate moments of love sculpted into works of art.

“I just wanted to take this chance to say a big THANK YOU to you for our Engagement Pictures on this Saturday past. I really didn’t know what to expect. I am not sure if I had expressed or if you had picked up on that I don’t like pictures being taken of me and I don’t like to be the centre of attention. But you had a way of making the experience fun and enjoyable. We are super excited to see the pictures! Can’t wait!!”
